EECU is a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with more than $4.5 billion in assets and over 300,000 members. Founded in 1934 to serve educators and administrators during the Great Depression, it has grown to become one of North Texas' largest locally-owned financial institutions, operating 22 Financial Centers across the region.
The organisation offers a comprehensive range of retail and business banking products, including checking and savings accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards, personal loans, and business banking solutions. Members benefit from nationwide access to more than 5,000 Service Centers and 85,000 ATMs, alongside digital banking through online and mobile platforms.
As a not-for-profit institution, EECU returns profits directly to members through competitive savings rates, lower loan rates, and reduced service fees. The credit union structure aligns member interests with institutional performance, distinguishing it from shareholder-owned banks and emphasising long-term financial value for its membership base.
