Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is New Hampshire's only academic health system and the state's largest private employer. A fully integrated non-profit network, it operates more than 30 clinics and serves patients across New Hampshire, Vermont, and northern New England through a team of 2,300+ providers.
The organisation runs the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire's only academic medical center and its sole Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centre. The Norris Cotton Cancer Care Pavilion ranks among only 57 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centres in the United States. Dartmouth Health Children's operates as the state's only children's hospital, whilst the network also includes home health and hospice services across Vermont and New Hampshire.
Medical education and research form core pillars of the system. It trains approximately 450 residents and fellows annually across 53 programmes in partnership with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, continuing a lineage rooted in Dartmouth Medical School's founding in 1797. The organisation conducts world-class clinical research alongside its care delivery and teaching missions.
