Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain Inc is a non-profit organisation founded in 1947 that provides disability services, employment assistance and health-related programmes across Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho. The organisation serves people with disabilities, seniors and individuals seeking work, operating 19 different programmes from 58 locations in the four-state region. It has provided disability services in Montana for more than 75 years and in Wyoming for more than 40 years.
Its work spans several areas. Employment and job training programmes assist people with disabilities and others entering or re-entering the workforce. Community integration and housing services support adults with intellectual disabilities in living more independently. Children's therapy services address developmental needs, while health-related programmes for adults and seniors assist those recovering from surgery or illness and those moving from nursing homes to more independent settings.
Retail operations are a significant part of the organisation. More than 20 Goodwill retail stores sell affordable, secondhand merchandise, with proceeds funding community services. The combined operation sits across the non-profit, human services, retail, workforce development, healthcare, senior care and housing sectors.
