Resonance operates an AI-powered platform for on-demand apparel manufacturing, built to eliminate waste from fashion production. The company has developed ONE, an operating system that enables brands to design, sell, and produce garments in real-time, closest to the customer, rather than relying on traditional bulk inventory models. The platform is paired with a physical AI system that learns continuously from design, sales, and production cycles to optimise manufacturing processes.
The company works with more than 30 brands, including THE KIT and Rebecca Minkoff, and operates manufacturing facilities in the Dominican Republic from its New York City headquarters. According to Resonance, garments produced through its system use 97% less dye, 70% less water, and 50% less material than conventionally manufactured clothing, addressing an industry that generates approximately 30 billion garments of waste annually.
The platform positions itself as economically competitive alongside its environmental objectives, claiming that brands can achieve greater profitability than legacy bulk producers whilst eliminating overproduction. The approach shifts manufacturing from linear, inventory-driven models to on-demand, customer-proximate production.
