Oklo designs, develops, builds, and operates advanced fission power plants to provide clean, reliable electricity. The company's Aurora powerhouse product line comprises liquid metal-cooled fast neutron reactors that generate 15–75 MWe of electrical power per unit and can use nuclear waste as fuel, with passive safety mechanisms that reduce reactor power without human intervention.
The company is actively developing nuclear fuel recycling technology to enable closed-loop operation of its reactors. Pre-construction has begun at Idaho National Laboratory for the first Aurora unit, with commercial operations targeted for 2028. Oklo is engaging with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to advance regulatory approval.
Oklo has secured substantial demand commitments. The company has a partnership agreement with Meta for a 1.2 GW nuclear energy campus in Ohio and a Master Power Agreement with Switch representing approximately a 15 GW order book. The company serves data centres, artificial intelligence facilities, remote communities, industrial sites, and defence installations.
