Newfields is Indiana's largest cultural organization, operating a 152-acre campus in Indianapolis that encompasses one of the 10 largest and oldest encyclopedic art museums in the United States. Founded in 1883, the institution employs over 300 professionals and manages a diverse portfolio including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, The Garden with the Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse, the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park, Lilly House, and the Miller House and Garden in Columbus, Indiana.
Technical work at Newfields includes conservation science, digital experience development, web development, and immersive technology solutions. Its in-house Newfields Lab develops online collections and interactive digital experiences, while the Conservation Science Lab bridges scientific research with artistic preservation. The museum's collection features works by Rembrandt, Picasso, and O'Keeffe, alongside North America's leading Neo-Impressionist collection.
