Synapxe is Singapore's national HealthTech agency, established in 2008 and rebranded in 2023 to reflect its expanded mandate. The organisation creates and operates intelligent technological solutions across the public healthcare ecosystem, managing critical national infrastructure including the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), HealthHub digital platform, and Next Generation Electronic Medical Records (NGEMR) system. These platforms serve over 50,000 healthcare users and support more than 12 million annual patient visits.
The agency's technical capabilities span electronic health records, cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS, AI-enabled clinical decision support, data analytics, telehealth solutions, and robotics automation. Synapxe works closely with Singapore's Ministry of Health to execute national healthcare IT masterplans, with a focus on enabling data sharing and interoperability across hospitals, primary care providers, and community care organisations.
The organisation has received over 80 awards for technological impact, reflecting recognition of its contributions to healthcare digitalisation.
