Ryz Labs, founded in 2021 by serial entrepreneurs Jordan Metzner and Sam Nadler, operates as a hybrid venture studio and human capital agency. The firm builds startups from the ground up while simultaneously supplying technical talent from Latin America to its portfolio companies and external clients. Metzner and Nadler bring backgrounds from Amazon and Lyft respectively, along with prior ventures including California Burrito Co., expanded across Latin America, and Washio, a laundry on-demand service.
The studio applies structured methodologies to validate and develop new ventures, drawing on Amazon's Working Backwards framework and MIT's Disciplined Entrepreneurship approach. Small internal teams run concepts through a multi-step validation process before scaling. Two products launched during Ryz Labs' first year of stealth operation illustrate this model in practice: HipTrain, a wellness coaching marketplace that recorded more than 15,000 sessions, and Offsiteio, a product tracking toward $1 million or more in revenue.
The human capital side of the business connects companies with what Ryz Labs describes as elite technical talent from Latin America - an offering underpinned by what the founders characterise as decades of regional expertise. This dual structure means the firm generates revenue through talent placement while also incubating its own ventures, with the Latin American talent network serving both sides of the business.
