Rochester Regional Health is an integrated health system serving western New York, the Finger Lakes, and St. Lawrence County. Formed in 2014 from legacy organisations with over 175 years of combined history, the system operates Rochester General Hospital as its flagship facility alongside a network of community clinics providing outpatient and primary care services across its service area.
The organisation employs 14,000 physicians, nurses, and caregivers and coordinates care through a single electronic health record system. Clinical services span cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, primary care, and urgent care, structured to function as an integrated whole rather than separate entities. In 2025, Newsweek named Rochester Regional Health one of America's Greatest Workplaces in Health Care.
The health system emphasises patient-centred care rooted in community relationships. Its operational model treats patients as whole people, focusing on listening and partnership rather than transactional interactions. This approach underpins both clinical delivery and organisational culture, with stated core values centring on community service, teamwork, whole-person care, and innovation adoption.
