Loombotic is automating the manufacture of custom wire harnesses, a process that remains one of the last major production stages done largely by hand. Founded in 2024 and backed by Y Combinator, the company operates in America and targets industries including robotics, electric vehicles, medical devices, aerospace, and consumer hardware. Its core offering is a platform combining AI-driven robotics and instant quoting software to deliver custom wire harnesses with significantly reduced lead times.
The company's platform handles over 500 connector types and wire gauges from 32 AWG to 4/0, supporting assemblies with more than 700 circuits. It caters to volume ranges from single-unit prototypes to runs exceeding 10,000 units. A key operational metric is a delivery lead time of approximately seven days, compared to the traditional industry standard of six to twelve weeks.
Loombotic builds its own instant-quoting software and manufacturing machines in-house. The company holds IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification and conducts full electrical continuity testing on every harness prior to shipping. Its stated mission includes bringing wire harness manufacturing back to America.
