Founded in 2020, Jobs for Lebanon is a citizen-led initiative established to address the country's economic crisis by connecting Lebanese professionals with employers worldwide. The organization mobilizes elements of the 16-million-strong Lebanese diaspora to create employment opportunities, aiming to reverse brain drain and support families through economic participation.
Its central product is a recruitment platform that leverages SmartRecruiters' enterprise technology and AI-powered matching to connect candidates with job opportunities. The platform has facilitated over 8,700 job postings and attracted more than 38,000 candidates. To date, it reports over 1,500 successful hires and states it has empowered over 50,000 professionals.
The initiative operates on a global scale, addressing both the domestic Lebanese market and the international diaspora. It functions at the intersection of recruitment technology and economic development, positioning itself as a community-driven mechanism for workforce mobility.
