Ivo builds a generative-AI native contract intelligence platform designed for enterprise legal teams. Its software integrates directly into Microsoft Word, enabling in-house lawyers to review contracts, surface risks, suggest redlines, and run negotiations without leaving the tools they already use. The platform also performs large-scale legal fact extraction and automatic deviation analysis, with agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) at its core.
The company has raised $55M in Series B funding and reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown sixfold over the past year. Customers include legal teams at Fortune 500 companies such as Uber, Atlassian, Canva, IBM, and Shopify. Ivo claims its platform enables contract review 75% faster than traditional methods and wins 85% of head-to-head trials against competing products.
Ivo was co-founded by Min-Kyu Jung, a former corporate lawyer, and Jacob Duligall, a former Xero engineer. That pairing reflects the company's cross-disciplinary approach: combining deep legal domain knowledge with production engineering rigour. Engineers ship to production daily, and the team works across design, law, and engineering.
The company's stated technical focus spans generative AI, large language model-based fact extraction, RAG (including agentic RAG), and contract review automation. Its declared philosophy is that AI should amplify human legal judgment rather than replace it.
