Intealth is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1956 that works to advance quality in health care education worldwide. Its core mission involves evaluating and certifying international medical graduates, who constitute approximately one-quarter of the U.S. physician workforce, as well as supporting broader health professions education initiatives.
The organization operates across the United States and internationally. Its primary services include credential verification, drawing on more than 35 years of experience in primary-source verification of physician credentials to confirm their authenticity. Intealth also administers a J-1 visa sponsorship programme, having sponsored more than 17,000 visa holders who serve as members of health care teams at teaching hospitals throughout the country.
Intealth's work spans medical credential verification, primary-source verification, and health workforce policy development, placing it at the intersection of health care education and the medical workforce sector.
