Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Chicago, Halo has built a network encompassing over 16,000 scientists and science-led startups from more than 730 universities, 550 startups, and 100 government labs across 130+ countries. Its corporate customers include Bayer, PepsiCo, P&G, BASF, Unilever, and Corteva. The company was selected to lead a National Science Foundation pilot project, reflecting its role in connecting academic research with commercial application.
Halo raised $2.6 million in seed funding from investors including Anne Wojcicki, Conrad Irwin, and Village Global, an early-stage fund backed by Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Reid Hoffman.
