Darigold, founded in 1918, is a major American dairy cooperative and the marketing and processing subsidiary of the Northwest Dairy Association. It is owned by dairy farms in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, and ranks as the fifth-largest dairy cooperative in the United States. The company processes over 8.5 billion pounds of milk annually and is responsible for nearly half of all U.S. dairy exports.
The company produces a full line of consumer dairy products, including milk, butter, cottage cheese, sour cream, and coffee creamers, for wholesale, retail, and foodservice channels. It also supplies a range of B2B dairy ingredients - such as skim milk powder, whey powder, and various cheeses - to food manufacturers around the world. Darigold ships its products to more than a dozen countries from its base in Seattle, Washington, and is expanding its operational footprint with a new facility in Pasco, Washington.
