Cincinnati Children's is a nonprofit academic medical center focused on improving child health through integrated patient care, research, and medical education. Founded in 1883, it serves infants, children, and adolescents up to age 21, with a geographic reach extending from Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky across the United States and internationally.
The institution is consistently ranked among the best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, earning the top spot among all Honor Roll hospitals in the 2024-25 survey. It is the second-largest recipient of pediatric research grants from the National Institutes of Health, securing $239.1 million in external funding in fiscal year 2025.
