Busek is a U.S.-based company that develops and manufactures propulsion systems and electronic solutions for spaceflight. With over thirty-five years in operation, the firm specializes in electric propulsion technology, including Hall-effect thrusters, plasma physics, and magnetic field design.
The company holds a number of firsts: it produced the first U.S. Hall thruster and the first electrospray thruster to operate in space. Its flight heritage dates to 2006, when a 200W Hall thruster flew aboard TacSat-2. Its BHT-6000 thrusters are used on NASA's Lunar Gateway, part of the Artemis program. Busek's products are built on decades of flight and test experience.
The firm's work is oriented toward hands-on problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with a focus on advancing propulsion performance for space missions.
