AltaMed Health Services Corp is a nonprofit federally qualified health center and one of the nation's largest community health networks. Founded in 1969, it now operates over 70 clinics across Southern California, serving more than 700,000 patients in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The organisation provides comprehensive healthcare services spanning primary care, dental services, behavioral health, HIV prevention and treatment, and women's health. It also operates PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), a senior care program delivering integrated services to eligible elderly individuals. Beyond direct patient care, AltaMed engages in policy advocacy, health education, and community initiatives aimed at reducing healthcare disparities.
AltaMed's approach emphasizes culturally sensitive care tailored to its diverse patient population. The AltaMed Foundation, established in 1987, supports the organisation's mission through fundraising and community partnerships.
